Hybrid Park in Līvāni: Grid Stability and Long-term Profit

Energiapartner, in co-operation with renewable energy developer Vindr, has completed the construction of a solar park and battery energy storage system (BESS) in Līvāni. The hybrid park features a 4.33 MW solar capacity paired with a 7.5 MWh battery storage system.

“With the growing share of renewable energy, hybrid systems are the new normal where solar and batteries must work hand in hand. It’s not just about producing clean electricity, but about making that energy usable, flexible, and valuable to the grid at any time of day,” says Mikk Saar, Board Member at Energiapartner.

According to Vindr, it is essential for the company that the project also benefits the local community. In co-operation with the grid operator, the local electrical infrastructure has been significantly improved. These upgrades, along with the new solar power plant, lay the foundation for new manufacturing companies to enter the Līvāni region and drive industrial development.
